On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, on October 2nd 2017, the staff and the students cleaned the areas in and around the school vicinity. To fulfill the true spirit of ‘Swachhta hi Sewa,’ the Principal, teachers and students of DPS R.K.Puram visited the SDMC schools to promote the movement.
Five teams comprising teachers and students from DPS R.K.Puram visited five SDMC schools in R.K.Puram. The students presented a Nukkad Natak and also organised a quiz to spread the awareness and the need for cleanliness. Students also participated in the cleanliness drive in the SDMC Schools. A First Aid Box was presented to each school and the students were gifted with pouches filled with toiletries.
The Social Service League and the Interact Club of the school played an integral role in the cleanliness drive. The drive saw an active partnership of the DPS RK Puram and the SDMC schools coming together on the same platform to celebrate the dream of our Prime Minister.
