The scholar badge ceremony for class VIII, sections G-K, was held on 18 February 2016 for the academic year 2014-2015. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Alok Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Planning Commission, Government of India.The Guest of Honour was Mr.Rohit Bansal, co-founder of SnapDeal. Also present were the Principal, Dr. D.R. Saini along with the Vice Principals, Ms. Vanita Sehgal and Ms.Padma Srinivasan and the Headmistress, Mrs.Anita Singh.
The school orchestra welcomed the guests with a beautiful performance. The Principal, Dr. D. R. Saini felicitated the guests with a token of appreciation. In the cultural programme, a beautiful tableaux demonstrated the need for education and eradication of poverty. A graceful dance was performed by the students.The chief guest, Mr. Alok Kumar and Mr.Rohit Bansal, both alumni of the school, shared fond memories of the time they spent here.
The award ceremony was conducted by Mrs. Ashima Aggarwal, the Representative of class VIII. The Chief Guest, Mr. Alok Kumar, the Guest of Honour, Mr.Rohit Bansal, the Prinicipal, Dr. D.R. Saini and the Vice Principal, Ms. Vanita Sehgal felicitated the students with awards for their academic, sports and co-curricular achievements.
The Vice Principal, Ms. Vanita Sehgal proposed the vote of thanks and congratulated the students on their achievements. The event ended with the national anthem.
