The Scholar Badge Ceremony of Class VII – Sections G to K for the academic year 2014-2015 was held on 8th February 2016. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The guests and other dignitaries were welcomed in the Audio Visual Hall, the venue of the ceremony, with an Indian Orchestra set in Raag Hamsadhwani. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Mr. Rajiv Yadav, Secretary, Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Also present were the Principal, Dr. D.R. Saini, Vice Principals, Mrs. Shobha Mehta and Dr. Renu Nayar; and Headmistress, Mrs. Anita Singh.

The achievements of the school were presented to the guests and the audience in the form of a Power Point Presentation. The Principal, Dr. D. R. Saini, warmly welcomed the guests and spoke to the students about the importance of hard work and perseverance.

A splendid cultural show was presented by the students of Class VII on the theme “Karm Aiv Jayate”. The programme was bilingual, in Hindi and English. The students presented an insight into the life of Emperor Ashoka and highlighted the teachings of Lord Krishna from the Holy Gita to emphasise on the maxim “Hard work is the key to success”.

In his address, the chief guest, Mr. Rajiv Yadav enlightened the students further on the theme of the ceremony, ‘Hard Work is the key to success’. Quoting the Gita, he urged the students to maintain a balance in life.

The Class Representative, Mrs.Mini Rathore, conducted the much-awaited awards distribution ceremony. The Chief Guest, Principal and the Headmistress awarded certificates to 155 meritorious students.

The Headmistress, Mrs Anita Singh, proposed the vote of thanks and motivated the students to achieve greater heights. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
