An Interactive Mathematics Workshop was conducted by Professor Bauman from the Centre for Mathematics and Computing (CEMC), University of Waterloo, on 13th April 2018 at DPS RK Puram. The objective of the workshop was to challenge students with some interesting Maths problems and get them excited about the power of Mathematics. The workshop was initiated by the Vice Principal, Dr. Renu Nayar and was coordinated by the Head of Mathematics Department, Mr. Anil Kathuria. A total of 37 students of Class XII had the privilege of participating in this workshop. Professor Bauman commenced the workshop with an interesting Chess board problem in the form of a game. The students worked enthusiastically in teams to plan the winning strategy. Professor Bauman then helped the students to think about a variety of stimulating and enjoyable set of problems in new ways and discussed their solutions. He demonstrated that Maths is fun, relevant and leads to exciting careers.
