Identification of Gifted Children in Science and Mathematics

Delhi Public School has topped in Delhi region in the selection of students for the mentoring phase of the project, “Identification of Gifted Children in Science and Mathematics”.

This project is the initiative of the office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India aimes to examine the challenges and possibilities to develop a national level mechanism to identify highly/exceptionally promising children in science and mathematics who can be nurtured through long term and sustained mentoring program. This project was coordinated at DPS, R.K. Puram by Mrs. Savita Chadha under the guidance of the Headmistress (VIII-X) Ms. Vanita Sehgal and the Principal DR. D.R. Saini.

*Top 1% of the students who exhibited novelty, creativity and unusual spark in their responses and problem solving in SMAT assessment were shortlisted as Identified Pool of Highly Promising Students.
