The International German Olympiad is an international competition held in Germany, which takes place every two years to test the will of the participants and their German language skills at three levels (A2, B2 and C1)
The participants are first identified in regional and national competitions and then represent their country at the International German Olympiad in Germany. There, the country’s best German-learners fight for the top three places as the world’s best in three levels. These include not only linguistic but also intercultural competence and ability required in international teams.
An international jury evaluated both the individual performances and the team results.
