The second session was conducted by Ms. Joy Lee Fredrickson, Student Service Coordinator from the Osseo Area group of Schools. The session was on Positive Behavioural Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS an evidence-based framework for developing positive behaviour, which can be used in schools to create a positive climate for learning. With PBIS, kids learn about behaviour, just as they learn other subjects like math or science. The key to PBIS is prevention, not punishment.
