An Orientation Programme was organized for the parents of students of Class VI sections A to F on 2 April 2018 and sections G to K on 3 April 2018 from 2:30 PM onwards. The parents were invited to acquaint themselves with the new environment their child would soon be entering into. The Class teachers apprised the parents about the school rules, the new scheme of assessment and introduced the subject teachers. The parents had an opportunity to interact with all the teachers who would be teaching their child.
The subject teachers spoke about the prescribed textbooks and notebooks, syllabi, subject enrichment activities and the marking scheme. The Principal, Ms. Vanita Sehgal, warmly welcomed the parents and assured them of the school’s commitment in ensuring that their child finds himself in a safe environment. The Headmistress, Ms. Rashmi Malhotra, in her address to the parents, spoke about the school rules and the new assessment scheme. Ms. Payal and Ms. Pratibha, the Class Representatives, also introduced themselves to the parents.
On the whole, the parents felt at ease about their wards’ transition from the junior schools to the senior school.
