In the words of Henri Frederic Amiel, “He who is silent is forgotten; he who does not advance falls back.” For the truly resilient person, adversity is where he/she thrives. The way in which we decide to respond to certain challenges, is what will shape our feelings, actions, and results. We must keep in mind, that growing through experiences doesn’t happen overnight- we grow gradually, and as we grow, we learn and discover new things. We must ensure that in our quest to grow, we do not only grow physically, but emotionally, mentally and spiritually as well. By committing to lifelong learning, celebrating both good and bad times, and living our lives to the fullest, we can make our time on earth conducive for ‘growing’, and not just ‘going’ through our lives.
