The National Education Day is celebrated on the 11th of November every year commemorate the birth anniversary of Shri Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He was a great freedom fighter, eminent educationist and the first education minister of India.

Education is one of the most important aspect in our life – it gives us knowledge, confidence and empowers us to shape our future.

The development and growth of a country depends on its citizens. If the people of a country are literate and educated, the country will definitely progress and prosper .

Education makes us aware of society’s ills such as poverty, inequality and gender discrimination. In order to make a positive impact as a valued member of the community, we should try and impart education to the less privileged people.

Through the education system in schools, teachers guide the students and help them realise their potential — academically, socially and physically to prepare them to face the many challenges that life holds for them.

As our Prime Minister very eloquently puts it — ” Education is the means to empowerment. In addition to spreading education , let us look at the quality of education. Let us expand our focus from schooling to learning. “

Our assembly talks about the origins of this day to modern day education through various platforms like song , dance , speech and a poem.
