Bhai Dhuj is celebrated on the fifth day of Diwali which falls on a new moon night. The name Dhuj/Dooj means the second day after the new moon and Bhai means brother.Sisters all over the country celebrate this by putting a tilak on the forehead of their brothers and perform an arti by showing him the light of holy flame as a mark of love and protection from evil forces. This is also a time when we are made aware of the pollution levels rising as a result of bursting crackers during Diwali. The assembly once again reinforces that bursting crackers is not correct,we should say no to crackers in future and protect our Planet.
