Swami Vivekanada’s birth anniversary is celebrated as National Youth Day. His greatest message to the youth was that they must do selfless service and work for social change. He said that the youth should build their mental energy as well as physical fitness and use it to meet the challenges of the society. He gave the three P’s to the youth; Purity , Patience and Perseverance. Purity is of thought and achievements , Patience is to understand the dynamic form and need to focus on the area for improvement. Apart from this , he said that today’s youth need perseverance to address the socio – political and ethical moral issues. These thoughts were not only relevant then but are even more relevant now.
