Students of Delhi Public School R.K.Puram Bring Laurels For The English Department

INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH OLYMPIAD

Students of Delhi Public School R.K. Puram have once again brought laurels to the school with their distinctive performance in the International English Olympiad (IEO) conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) in partnership with the British Council on the 19th January 2012.  Ishita Batra of class XI secured Class rank 1, State rank 1 and International rank 8. She has been honored with a Gold medal and Rs. 5000/- as prize money. Gyan Lakhwani of class X has been awarded a Gold medal and prize money of Rs. 2500/- for securing Class rank 1 and State rank 5.  Ayushi Pahwa of class VI, secured Class rank 1 and State rank 2 and has been honored with a Gold medal.  Samyukta Vaijyanath of class VII has been awarded a Gold medal and Rs. 1000/- as prize money.  Akshay Gupta of class VIII and Tarang Kaur of class IX received a Gold medal each.  Tanushree Sharma of class X was awarded Rs. 2500/- as prize money.  Rahul Shahi of class VI, Sharad Tara of class X and Abhishek Dave of class XI have received prize money of Rs. 1000/- each.

INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIAD OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Delhi Public School R.K. Puram, New Delhi goes International once again with 7 Gold medals, 8 Silver and 7 Bronze in the 4th iOEL (International Olympiad of English Language)  1st level test conducted in the 2nd week of Nov 2011  by the ‘ Education Society of English Language.’ Rohan Shahi, student of class X secured Class rank 1, State rank 1 and International rank 1. He has been honored with a Gold medal.  Aastha Girotra of class IX and Angelina Dash of class VI  have also been awarded a Gold medal each for securing Class rank 1, State rank 1 and International rank 2. Trishi Jindal of class XII, Shivam Vats of class XI, Siddhartha Kapur of class VIII  and Nikita Balaji of class VII  have also been awarded a Gold  medal each .

SPELL VOCAB CHALLENGER

The Spell Vocab Challenger was conducted in Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram on 23rd November 2011 for 380 students.  The students of the school have been participating in the event for the past 7-8 years.  This year Rabani Raori and Meeha Tewari of VII-J from the junior category and Soham Goswami of XI-C and Ishita Batra of XI-D from the senior category were selected for participation in the zonals.  The SVC Guild, who are the organizers of the event, presented a Citation appreciating the school’s effort towards making English learning joyful and enriching.
