Important Information – CBSE Term 1 Exam

Due to the onlgoing CBSE Term 1 Examinations of Classes X and XII being held in the school premises physically, there will be NO OFFLINE CLASSES on 30th November, 2nd, 6th, 10th and 14th December 2021.

On the above mentioned dates, classes for IX and XI will be held for the first two periods only and for Classes VI to VIII, normal full day classes will be held ONLINE.

No ONLINE/OFFLINE CLASSES will be held on 3rd December, 2021

“Topic: GURPURAB : LOVE ALL MANKIND. 

Guru Nanak Ji was born 550 years ago, yet his life and teachings  hold great power and meaning for humanity. He not only propounded a new way of life but a realistic and optimistic worldview.  The students of class VI J shared a few teachings of Guru Nanak Ji through their class presentation. The presentation began with a  melodious prayer song by Amaira Tandon, followed by a shloka recited by Garima Kuchhal . Next, an insightful thought was presented by Amisha Monga and Smyaan Sharma. Garima Kuchhal and Arjun Kalra delivered a speech on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Following this, Nathan V. Sherpa explained the teaching of Guru Nanak Dev Ji through a melodious song and Samarth Gupta recited a beautiful poem. The presentation concluded with a vote of thanks by Prapti Mehra. The illustrations were shared by Anusha Dhawan, Samarth Gupta, Antarjot Singh and Siyona Nag. The PowerPoint presentation was made by Omansh Duklan. Prapti Mehra , Sachin Gangwar and Mehr Gandhi tied the entire presentation together through their effective narration.

IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this 26th day of November 1949, do HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION.

Assembly XI-L (23-11-2021)

“Topic: Words Can’t Rewind, So Be Kind

“ When you are kind to the world, it not only changes you, it changes the world.” It takes a strong heart and even stronger willpower to reciprocate intimidation with kindness.  According to statistics, one out of every 5 students gets persecuted at school or outside. The students of Class XI-L discussed how this all-pervasive problem affects people’s lives and how it should be dealt with.

The Class Presentation commenced with Aarshia Gupta welcoming everyone with an energetic greeting.  This was followed by a melodious prayer – “Ye Mat Kaho Khuda Se” sung by Diksha Singh.  An insightful  skit on the topic was then presented by Jeeval Kukreja, Shana Kalia ,Shubhika Pandey ,Mehul SIngh ,Vanya Garg , and Pujit Chhabra. This was followed by a beautiful song – “Count on Me” with Avihan Jain, Diksha Singh and Vanlalchhuanpuii on the vocals, Mayank Shandilya on the keyboard and Avihan Jain on the guitar and with inputs from Samarth Kumar. The presentation concluded with a powerful and thought-provoking speech by Vanshika Shah and the vote of thanks delivered by Avihan Jain. 

The eye-catching invites were made by Jeeval Kukreja and Mayank Shandilya. The power point presentation was put together by Niyati Rai and Devansh Thankur, and the audios were compiled by Anshuman Verma. The summary was  written by Himanshu Jarodiya and Shirsh Mohan.

Kindly note that there will be No offline Test Series for Class XII as per the Department of Education, Government of NCT Delhi directive No. DE.23 ( 28 )/Sch.Br./2021/639  dated 21.11.2021.

However, it will be conducted Online with same Time Schedule.

NATIONAL DIABETES AWARENESS MONTH

To celebrate the National Diabetes Awareness Month in November ,the following activities were organized by the Health and I Club,Biology Department .

1) Poetry Writing and Recitation for classes VI to VIII on the theme :Do’s and Don’ts for 

    diabetics.Students had to recite a  self composed poem of minimum ten lines and 

    submit their video and soft copy of the poem .The excitement and involvement of the 

    students was noteworthy. Through their poem, they promoted healthy food choices 

    and  motivated diabetics to have a positive outlook and stress free lifestyle.

2) Awareness Ad On Diabetes for classes IX and XI on the theme :Early Signs And 

    Symptoms of Diabetes /Causes Of Diabetes .Students had to enact an advertisement 

    for 2 minutes as a team,keeping in mind the use of appropriate costumes and 

    characters  .Video of the students,enacting the advertisement had to be submitted. 

    Students brilliantly showcased their team work and creativity .

    The activities were organized under the guidance of  Ms Niva Chhonkar ,HOD Biology 

    and coordinated by Ms Jyoti Sharma and Ms Shalini Chanana,Incharges of the 

    Health And I Club

  1. Regular Timetable of Online Classes/Tests will be followed for Class XII on Monday, 22nd November 2021
  2. Board Practical Exams (Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science) will be conducted on Monday, 22nd November 2021 as per schedule already shared
  3. Board Practical Exams of PE is rescheduled and it will be held w.e.f. Tuesday, 23rd November, 2021 and the new schedule will be shared by the PE Teacher.
  4. No Regular Classes for Class X w.e.f. Monday 22nd November 2021, instead Subject-wise Block Teaching (for DOUBT CLEARING) will be conducted – The schedule will be provided on website/respective subject teachers.

Intellectual Property Rights

Cell for IPR Promotion and Development (CIPAM), a professional body under

the aegis of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India organised a virtual seminar on November 27th, 2021 for the students of classes VI, VII, VIII, IX and XI of DPS RK Puram on the topic “Intellectual Property Rights”. The programme was hosted with the aim of providing the students with the opportunity to interact with and learn from the accomplished people in the field.The class representatives, teachers and students of classes VI, VII, VIII, IX and XI attended the programme.

The virtual seminar was conducted by Mr. N. Subramanian along with Ms. Drishti Khurana. Mr. N. Subramanian, an engineering graduate and a registered Patent agent, started his IP Career as a Patent Scientist and grew as an in-house IP Trainer cum Analyst in the University. He has experience in Patent searching, drafting and filing; Handling the IPR seminars, Awareness programmes, Hands-on training; Handling the Value-Added course on IPR; Framing University IP Policy and creating an innovation ecosystem in the University. 

While working at CIPAM as an Assistant manager, he takes care of awareness vertically. He is also a mentor of change for Atal Tinkering Lab and acts as a resource person to promote IPR in several schools, colleges and forums such as UGC-HRDC, EDII-TN, All India Radio etc. 

Ms.Drishti Khurana is working in Cell for IPR Promotion and Management (CIPAM), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of commerce and industry as a Management Trainee. 

The programme began with Riya Gupta and Lipi Saini welcoming the audience and the guest speakers. This was followed by Mr. N. Subramanian’s presentation in which he discussed Intellectual Property Rights and its different types with the audience. He also included various fun activities to interact with the audience which took the energy level of the audience to great heights.

The question and answer session was conducted by Drishty Ajwani and Aryan Kumar. Students asked their questions regarding the topic which were very patiently answered by Mr. N. Subramanian. He emphasised the importance of intellectual property rights and how they help the authors to publish their work without the fear that someone else will use it and take credit for it. 

The session was concluded by Riya Gupta with a vote of thanks. The event was organised by Ms. Shelly Malhotra and Ms. Archna Deepak, with technical support from Mr. Mukesh Kumar and his team.
