Topic – Science for Peace and Development
Peace is about different nations working together toward a common goal, rather than fighting against each other. Development is to bring the state of humankind to a better and humanely acceptable condition from what it is today. The awe of the beautiful universe makes differences in cultures, languages, colours, genders, religions, and ideologies simply disappear. We firmly believe that basic scientific research is a true peacemaker for humankind. We have seen it at many points of time when people from different nations came together just for one cause, to unravel the mysteries of this universe. We live on a tiny rock in a galaxy amongst billions of galaxies in the universe. When we look at the big picture our petty differences and vendettas seem insignificant. That is what science does, it helps to look at this big picture and allows humans to exist in harmony.
