The 5th Lt. Col. E R Tullet Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament 2012-13

The Tournament was conducted by The Frank Anthony Public School Lajpat Nagar from 2nd May to 9th May. 2012. In this tournament team consisting of 5 players each from class – 4, 5 and 6 is must. D.P.S. R.K. Puram cricket team won this tournament consecutively for third time.

The Blackburn Rovers Junior Football League

Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram U-12 Boys football team secured 1st runner up in the prestigious football tournament organized by “ FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT ASIA – BLACKBURN ROVERS FOOT BALL CLUB” of English premier league. Devansh Tandon & Dyujoy Majumdar were declared as the best player and best striker respectively of the tournament. The tournament was held from 17th December 2011 to 21st April 2012 in Delhi. Twelve elite schools from Delhi and NCR participated in it.



Scholar Sports Coaching Camp/ Swimming Pool & Sports Complex Membership 2012-13

Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram is organizing the Scholar Sports Coaching Camp during the summer vacations from May 21 – 31, 2012. We are also offering monthly /annual membership of the Swimming Pool & Sports Complex, for the year 2012-13. During this camp, students will be taught five Educational Values of Olympics & Sport, which are: 1. Joy of Effort 2. Fair Play 3. Respect for Others 4. Pursuit of Excellence and 5. Balance between Body, Will & Mind. These values come from the fundamental principles that seem relevant for educational purposes. They incorporate the three domains of learning i.e. Cognitive (Intellectual), Affective (Social/ Emotional) and Kinesthetic (Physical).

The details of the programme are as under:

1) SCHOLAR SPORTS COACHING CAMP

DATES: May 21 – 31, 2012 (excluding Sunday) for all  classes of DPS R. K. P., V. Vihar & EOK
TIMINGS: 7.00 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.
DISCIPLINES: Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Gym, Lawn Bowl, Skating, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis & Volleyball. (All activities are for boys & girls)
VENUE: DPS R.K. Puram, Sports Complex.
CAMP FEE: Rs. 900/- per student
ELIGIBILITY: Students of DPS R.K. Puram, East of Kailash & Vasant Vihar (Classes Nursery to XII)
PRIVILEGES: Camp Participation Certificates & Awards will be given, and the participants may also be considered for selection to school teams and school appointments. Outstanding personalities will be invited to interact with the students, and provide guidance for their future. Relevant educational and sport development films will be shown in the air-conditioned A.V.H. of the school.
CONVEYANCE: 21st May’12 onwards transport will be provided by the school, for ten specific game routes only, to drop the children after the coaching camp. The students will report to the camp by their own conveyance.

2) SPORTS COMPLEX MEMBERSHIP

DPS R.K Puram students (East of Kailash, Vasant Vihar & R. K. Puram), and ex-students of DPS R K Puram can become members of the Sports Complex. They will be entitled to use the three swimming pools and Gym facility after school hours, on Saturdays and Sundays, holidays and during the summer vacations, as per the given schedule. The membership fee has been displayed on the swimming pool and school notice boards.
Those who are interested, may collect the prescribed form from the Sports Complex, School Reception, School Main Gate or Boys Hostel Main Gate, and return the same duly completed, along with the requisite fee in cash, to the school cashier.
