8th Annual Abhimanyu Bhattacharjee Memorial Debate

Kartik Ashta and Kartik Shrivastava won the Best Speaker prize in the categories for and against respectively at the 8th Annual Abhimanyu Bhattacharjee Memorial Debate held at D.P.S. Noida on 27th January 2012 with Amritanshu Patnaik as the Interjector. This was an Extempore Debate.



Cambridge School Annual Debate

At the annual debate held at Cambridge School, Noida on 21st January 2012 Sahil Yadav and Soham Goswami of Class XI won the prize for Best Team on the topic “The World has achieved brilliance without conscience.” They also won the best speakers prize in the categories for and against respectively.



International school competition in Sharjah

The Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram team comprising of 13 students and their teacher, Mrs. Kaumudi Sharma participated in the “Parampara programme” organized by the Hindi department of D.P.S Sharjah on 23rd and 24th January 2012. 15 Schools from India and abroad participated in the event. D.P.S R.K. Puram put up “Khel Khel Mein”, a play based on the story of Vinod written by Munshi Premchand. Students also participated in the quiz competition “Jeevan Yatra” based on the life and works of eminent Hindi story writers.

Students presented their self-written stories supported by power point presentations. The participants of D.P.S R.K. Puram were appreciated by judges and the audience.

Mr Ashok Chandra, Chairman DPS Society, Dr. D.R. Saini, Principal D.P.S R.K.Puram and other eminent personalities from Delhi and Sharjah graced the occasion. The prizes were distributed by Mr. Dinesh Kothari, Pro Vice Chairman, DPS Sharjah and Jodhpur.
