3rd Gayatri Devi Goenka Memorial Basketball Tournament 2010 held at G. D. Goenka School, Vasant Kunj from 9th to 16th November 2010. Various public school participated in this tournament. Delhi Public School R. K. Puram senior girls team winner of the tournament. Delhi Public School R. K. Puram senior boys team 1st runner up of the tournament. Utsav of class XI best player of the tournament in the boys section. Avni Aneja XII-V declared best player of the tournament in the girls section.

Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram was the proud host of the National Inter DPS Tennis Tournament. The National Inter DPS Tennis Tournament is a DPS Society initiative which took place from 16th to 19th of December 2010. The objective of the tournament was to showcase the talent brimming in DPS schools throughout the country. It was an open tournament for DPS Schools, and 40 schools participated, with each school sending a team of 3-4 students.

The tournament was declared open by Mr.Ashok Chandra, Chairman of the DPS Society, who wished the participants the best of luck. The tournament was played on the Knock out basis at two venues i.e DPS R.K.Puram and Delhi Lawn Tennis Association, (R. K. Khanna Stadium) R.K.Puram. In the first semi-finals, DPS R.K.Puram defeated DPS Gandhi Nagar by 2-1. In the second semi-finals, DPS Mathura Road defeated DPS Vasant Kunj by 2-0.

The final match was played between DPS R.K.Puram and DPS Mathura Road. DPS R.K.Puram defeated DPS Mathura Road by 2-0. Siddharth Sharma of DPS R.K.Puram defeated Ankit Chaudhary of DPS Mathura Road by 6-1, 6-2. In second single match, Shikhar Kumar of DPS R.K.Puram defeated Shashaank Sharma of DPS Mathura Road by 6-1, 6-1, at Synthetic Surface Tennis Court, DPS R.K.Puram Sports Complex on 19th December 2010. After the final match Col. Amarveer Singh (CEO, Commonwealth Games 2010) in the presence of Principal, Dr. D.R.Saini, gave away the prizes to the DPS schools. The Third overall trophy was won by DPS Vasant Kunj, the second overall Trophy was bagged by DPS Mathura Road and the first overall winner of the tournament was DPS R.K.Puram.

The Inter DPS Cricket Tournament 2010 was held at DPS Noida from 25th – 29th of November, and DPS R.K.Puram emerged as winners. In the quarter finals match, DPS R.K.Puram defeated DPS Vasant Kunj . In the semi-final match , DPS R.K.Puram defeated DPS Faridabad. The final was played between DPS R.K.Puram and DPS Noida. DPS Noida scored 197/8 in their40 overs. Kailash Mittal bagged 4 wickets for 34 runs. In reply, DPS R.K.Puram scored 198/3 in 30 overs. Vrishbhanu scored 79 runs and was adjudged Man of the Match. Tarang Gupta was declared Best All Rounder of the Tournament and Vishal Adhalka was declared the best Fielder of the Tournament.

IPSC Swimming (Girls) championship-2010

D.P.S R.K.Puram Girls Swimming team participated in the IPSC Swimming championship-2010 held at Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hisar (Haryana) from 7-10th Sep.2010. 15 public schools from all over the country had participated in this championship. The result is as under.
